Leeks Hannibal

£1.95 Average 350 seeds

Leeks do require a bit more effort than other types of veg. You are going to have to sow, then dig them up to transplant to their final growing positions.

But once they've grown you can leave them in the ground right through the winter when there's not much else around, ready to dig up as you want them.

You don't have to wait till then to eat them though. I love to eat them at transplant stage them when they're pencil thin, by chargrilling with a little olive oil.
