Beetroot actually comes in a number of shapes and colours. The yellow-orange flesh of Golden Detroit looks (and tastes) wonderful in its own right, but looks fantastic when you combine it on the same plate with more common purple varieties. It also has delicious tasting leaves which can be picked young and eaten raw in salads or cooked.
Golden Detroit is just as easy to grow as conventional beetroot. It thrives in practically any soil, and has a natural resistance to bolting.
Perfect for plots and patios.
