Sweetcorn Golden Bantam

If you've got the room, sweetcorn makes a great addition to the vegetable patch. You'll only get about 2 cobs per plant, but they don't take up a lot of space, and the home grown taste is incomparable with supermarket, because the natural sugars deteriorate quickly after they've been picked.

I love them tossed on the barbeque with the husks on and left to cook slowly until the kernels are gently caramelised. The variety we've chosen for you will be so sweet and tasty there's no need for any butter, salt or pepper.
