Some people think of them as a bit bland. Not so this Italian heirloom variety! Pick them young when they're only 4-6in long for a delicious nutty taste and wonderful crunch.
As well as eating them cooked try them raw sliced with speed peeler and added to salads. You also get the bonus of great flowers which are wonderful stuffed and deep fried, or just torn and tossed into salads for a flourish.
