£9.75Sowing many seeds directly into your plot can be a hit and miss affair. Soil has to be a fine texture, and if seeds germinate they immediately have to contend with more vigorous weed seeds around them and are highly vulnerable to slugs and snails.
That's why we sow 90% of our seeds in compost - either in the form of Jiffy 7s, or in these 4ft long rain gutters. They're incredibly quick and easy to use. Sprinkle in the compost, then the seeds, water and you're done. Within a month the seedlings will be ready to slide out of the gutter into their final growing positions. See them in action
