Sowing and Growing
We hope that most questions about sowing and growing your plants are covered in the Grow Guides and the Sowing Calendar. If you can't find the information you need there please get in touch by email at: firstname.lastname@example.org
We try to get all orders shipped as fast as possible, but please bear with us at busy times. Seed only orders have a post and packing charge of £2.45. All other orders have a charge of £4.95.
We also ship 'seed only' orders to anywhere in the EU. The standard post and packing charges as above still apply, but please remember to order seeds only - no equipment, potatoes or onions!
From time to time items do become out of stock, in which case we will contact you with an expected delivery date.
If for any reason you want to cancel your order or are unhappy with your items, you can return them in resaleable condition and in their original packaging within 14 days for a full replacement or refund.
Resaleable condition means that any product must be un-opened and un-used.
Please obtain proof of posting (free from your Post Office) when returning goods as we cannot provide a refund or exchange if we do not receive the original goods back. Unfortunately we do not offer a free returns service.
This guarantee does not affect and is in addition to your statutory rights.
Each month we send customers advice on maintaining their veg plot. If you'd prefer not to receive these emails, email us on: email@example.com
Either leave the email blank, or if you've got time we'd love to know why you don't want to hear from us any more.
All prices include VAT at the current rate where applicable.
We accept payment by Visa, Mastercard and debit cards. Your payment will be taken when you order.
If you would like to pay by any other means, or would like to redeem a gift voucher, please contact us.
Any information you provide us with will only be used by Seed to Plate in order to provide you with tailored advice and information about your vegetable garden. We will not release any personal information to any other organisation.
All personal details sit on our secure server which is firewall and password protected.
The online shopping process is security protected. We use Secure Socket Layer (SSL) encryption technology to protect the transmission of your sensitive financial data. SSL certificates are an industry standard that serve a dual purpose: they provide a means for the encryption of communications, they also provide a framework for a trusted third party to confirm that the owners of a website are who they say they are.
Our SSL certificate supports High grade AES 256 bit encryption. You will know that SSL encryption is taking place because the URL bar in the browser will begin with 'https://' and the browser will display a lock to indicate secure communication mode.
Your financial data is not stored in our database indefinitely. We store financial data for the minimum amount of time necessary to conduct business. Our current data retention policy is as follows: Your credit card number is deleted out of the website database 7 days after you place your order on the website. Your CVV2 or CID number is deleted as soon as the order is processed.
The website resides on a secure server. A short summary of the security precautions in place to secure the server are as follows:
- Server cluster protected by a dedicated hardware firewall.
- Server cluster is divided into tiered layers of network security for a 'defense in depth' strategy.
- Server security logs are monitored by a human being to look for any signs of attack.
